Attendees in Financial Hardship

We operate a sliding scale of fees, which, along with the Equalities Fund, aims to allow anyone to attend, regardless of income. To apply for assistance from the Equalities Fund, send an email to enquiries email address removed before 1st June 2012. Any information given will be treated in the strictest confidence.

In order to maximise the funding available, the Equality Fund will only provide funding for registration and standard accommodation costs unless you require an upgrade due to disability, or for other access reasons. BiCon cannot provide funding towards the cost of travel to and from BiCon, but we may take the cost of your travel into account when deciding how much help we can offer you.

As the equalities fund is limited and funded by individual donations we ask that all attendees applying to it pay at least £10 each for their BiCon, with the exception that funding can be made available for the full costs of BiCon registration and accommodation for a PA or companion to a disabled person who is not attending any part of BiCon in their own right.

To make an application to the Equalities Fund please email enquiries email address removed with your name, registration number and an outline of your needs. We review applications anonymously around the beginning of each month. Funds are allocated on a first come first served basis, so the earlier you apply, the more likely we are to be able to help you. Applications to the Equality Fund are considered on a monthly basis, so you should get an answer within 30 days days of applying.

If you would like to make a donation to the Equalities Fund, you can do so by BACS or PayPal, or when you pay for your BiCon. Please mark stand alone donations with ‘Equalities Fund’.

If you have any questions to ask about the Equalities Fund that are not covered here, please email registration email address removed
