Venue

This year, we’re proud to be taking BiCon to Bradford for the first time. See here for directions to the venue.

Located close to the city centre and close to local transport links, Bradford University campus is home to a world renowned Peace Studies department – the first of its kind in the world, and, over 5 days in August 2012, it will also be home to the 30th annual Bisexual gathering, BiCon.

About Bradford

Bradford is a city of close to 300,000 residents in the heart of West Yorkshire. Once the home to a thriving textiles industry, the city suffered in the post-industrial era. The city’s economy is now based largely on financial services, information technology and manufacturing.

Bradford was named the world’s first City of Film in 2009 in recognition of its contribution to the British film industry.

About the Campus

BiCon 2012 will take place in the university’s student central, with residental accomodation in the brand new £40 million student village The Green. Have a look at what the BBC thinks of The Green here.
